Relaxed Authentication
A quote on relaxing, Sahil Bloom's writing process, how to develop courage and confidence, giving yourself a compliment, and authentication exhaustion.
Hello Folks!
Welcome to the latest edition of Brain Tickles.
Relax...
Here's a quote I'm pondering from The Art of Learning by Josh Waitzkin:
The unconscious mind is a powerful tool, and learning how to relax under pressure is a key first step to tapping into its potential.
How Sahil Bloom Writes
Sahil Bloom’s Content Empire Playbook | How I Write Podcast
I've enjoyed this podcast episode from How I Write where David Perell interviews VC and entrepreneur Sahil Bloom.
With more than 1 million followers on Twitter, he shares his approach to creating a high volume of high-quality content while following his curiosity.
My key takeaway? The importance of passion in your work. Sahil says, "It was just a true passion thing, like a labor of love, and I really got a lot of energy out of it."
If you're not enjoying what you're doing, you just won't push through when things get tough.
Courage and Confidence
Courage vs. Confidence: How to Develop Each in a Deterministic Way
In this essay,
discusses the difference between confidence and courage and how both can be developed like a muscle:
Courage is about your actions in the face of fear and danger. If you stand firm to achieve your ultimate goal, you're courageous.
Confidence is about how you feel about your ability to do something.
I've been building up my courage by showing my face on screen and "building in public" through live streaming my work on Twitch. I did two streaming sessions this week and loved the results. It was great to exchange thoughts with live viewers about what I was building and what they were working on.
Employee of the Month
Sometimes, you're the only one who can give yourself a pat on the back.
